Sponsor Opportunities

You have the power through sponsorship to make gospel ministry happen. In the deserts of northern Kenya the people live on less than a dollar a day. In places of such poverty to “provide for those in need, from our plenty” (2 Corinthians 8:14) frees workers from secular work so they can fulfill ministry roles - roles such as ministers, Scripture teachers, Bible college teachers, women’s workers, and disciplers.

If donations for a particular project exceed the amount needed, money will be redirected to other projects.

Sponsor a Women’s Worker

One of the most effective types of work we do is women’s work. All of our women’s workers visit the elderly and children providing food for those in need. They also do gospel ministry as seen in this video. Much is being done but so far only 20 villages out of 100 are being reached. We need more women's workers who can facilitate the provision of physical needs and do ministry in the villages amongst the women and children. We have the Godly women who already volunteer some of their time, but we need them sponsored through Mission Samburu Australia Limited to work full time so they won't need to give time to other income generating work.

It costs $75 a week to sponsor a women's worker.

What you get: A 6-monthly progress report from the women's worker you sponsor.

Donations $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia to the extent permitted by law.

Sponsor a Literacy Teacher

With over 15,000 people living in our valley, and most of those illiterate, we use the Samburu Bible as their text book, equipping them to read their Samburu language and to know Christ from the Scriptures in the process.

It costs $100 per week to sponsor a literacy teacher.

What you get: A 6-monthly progress report from the teacher you sponsor.

Donations $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia to the extent permitted by law.

Sponsor Transport

Transporting staff to schools and villages, and patients to medical clinics is a difficult feat in a place where the main form of travel is by foot. Superior forms of transport enable activities to take place that time and distance would otherwise restrict.

It costs $100 per week to run a motorbike, including driver, petrol, insurance, registration and maintenance.

It costs $250 per week to run a car, including driver, petrol, insurance, registration and maintenance.

What you get: A 6-monthly progress report from the driver you sponsor.

Donations $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia to the extent permitted by law.

Plant a Church

We are doing outreach events in villages on a regular basis but ultimately these villages need pastors to shepherd God’s flock. With little to no income producing activities found in most of these places, outside support is required for a pastor to survive.

It costs $150 per week to sponsor a pastor and church running costs so a church can be planted in a new village.

What you get: A 6-monthly progress report from our staff member who is planting the church.

Donations to this project are not tax deductible.

Sponsor a Bible & Ministry Training College Teacher

One of the most foundational tools for a young man’s future. It grounds him in the Scriptures training him in schools, church and Bible ministries.

Due to the cost of tertiary qualifications, it costs $240 a week to sponsor a Bible College teacher.

What you get: A 6-monthly progress report from the teacher you sponsor.

Donations to these roles are not tax deductible.

Sponsor a Bible Seminar

We get hundreds of young men who want to attend our Bible seminars. The week long Bible teaching is foundational to being from such difficult circumstances. They need our help to pay their way.

Seminars range from $700 to $5,000. This includes staff, materials, and food for 250 students. We need your help to make these happen.

What you get: A report and photos after the seminar.

Donations to this project are not tax deductible.
