Sponsor Special Needs
Sponsor those with a chronic illness or disability
In the Nyiro Valley of Samburu county of Kenya there are those with special physical ailments and needs with no one to care for them. God cares for them and wants us to as well. Because of the largely animistic population, they are impoverished spiritually too. Please choose someone to show Christ’s love to. Sponsoring will fund first level medical needs, food and discipleship in the scriptures.
How does sponsorship help?
Once a fortnight one of our disciplers will deliver a fortnight’s worth of food to the person's home. Your sponsorship will fund this time to visit for an hour to disciple and to have their physical needs attended to. When he or she needs to go to the local clinic, the sponsorship will also cover the cost.
What is discipleship?
Jesus commanded us in the Great Commission to make disciples, and that’s why we have the personal, one person to one person approach to sponsorship. Although discipleship is costly, it’s what we are called to do personally, and our program fulfils that. Through this program we disciple through fortnightly one-to-one meetings where we talk, listen, read the Bible together, give guidance, and pray. To listen, that's love. To learn of all their challenges, then to share the saving message from the Scriptures and to pray with them, bears much fruit.
How much does it cost?
It costs just $20 a week to sponsor a person with special needs.
Donations $2 and over are tax-deductible in Australia to the extent permitted by law.
What will I get in return?
The joy of touching a life with God's word and God's love! You will also receive an update every six months regarding the person you are sponsoring. You are welcome to write back if you wish.
